Frankton Branch Manager -Updated as of May 29, 2025

The North Madison County Library System is seeking a professional to fill the branch manager position at the Frankton Community Library. The best candidate for this position will possess excellent interpersonal skills, a heart for service, and be detail oriented. The staff working at this branch are three part-time clerks and a part-time custodian.  Patron service, programming, marketing and any other ideas or actions that will benefit the Frankton community are already top priorities for the dedicated staff.  The candidate with the same priorities ready to work beside and lead as a team member will succeed. The library branch is located in Frankton, Indiana a city with a population of approximately 2,000, and is a branch of the North Madison County Public Library System.       

Education Requirements   

An associate degree or 60 college credit hours and a Library Certificate 5 are required for this position. Consideration will be given to a candidate with library experience and an associate degree who only requires the three library courses to obtain the Library Certificate 5.  A minimum of one year’s professional supervisory experience is required.      

Wages   

This is a 40 hour per week position with evenings and weekends as needed.  The wage range for this position is $15 to $25.00 per hour. Previous library experience will be considered.       

Benefits   

Health, dental and vision insurance are available.  The employee is responsible for 10% of the health insurance premium and 100% of the dental and vision premiums. Automatic enrollment into INPRS (Indiana Public Retirement System).    Vacation and personal time after six months. Sick leave accumulates after one full month.
